Jessica has been teaching voice for 15 years and has taught singing at universities and colleges in the US and her home town - Melbourne, Australia. She enjoys teaching students from a variety of musical backgrounds but no matter the style, her approach focuses on helping them to form a physically empowered, body-centered vocal technique. She encourages students to become knowledgeable about the music they perform and to develop the skills to be clear and expressive vocal communicators. Her students have ranged from young children to university voice-majors and professionals. She teaches in a range of styles; from opera and music theatre, to jazz, pop or singer-song writing. She is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing.

Some reviews from students and parents:

"Jessica is supportive, engaging and a master at her craft! She incorporates a range of vocal exercises and body work to interconnect music, lyrics and your voice as an instrument. Thank you Jessica, you are the most gifted teacher my daughter has ever had in her academic and her arts training" Elli M

"An encouraging, flexible and knowledgeable teacher.... I was very pleased with her teaching methods and general manner. My lessons were tailored to my specific needs... I feel like Jessica did a wonderful job of building up a very functional framework of ideas I was able to use to guide my private practice. As well as helpful technical tools, Jessica provided me with insightful and constructive feedback into the way I was performing my songs... I would recommend her as a teacher for anyone, regardless of their singing style or level of skill." Eugene H

"Jessica is an amazing and gifted instructor. My daughter looks forward to her classes and feels at ease. Her work is remarkable and quite affordable" Toni R
